An arrest warrant has been issued for Alexa Mozitis, 21, whose last known address was the 4700 block of C Street, Philadelphia.
Upper Darby police are searching for a 21-year-old woman who allegedly assaulted and threatened her mother and grandmother with a semi-automatic handgun.
An arrest warrant has been issued for Alexa Mozitis, whose last known address is the 4700 block of C Street, Philadelphia. She is wanted for an incident reported just after 4 p.m. on Friday at her mother’s home on the unit block of Revere Road, Drexel Hill.
Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood is seeking assistance from the public in locating the woman, who is considered armed and dangerous.
“Apparently this woman has been staying at her mother’s on and off since she was kicked out of her apartment in Philadelphia,” Chitwood said. “She went there Friday with another woman and pushed her mother, 44, and grandmother, age 80. She gets into a battle and gets the gun, a black Glock semi-automatic, out of the living room closet and threatened to shoot them. We don’t know what the argument was about. It could be she was whacked out on drugs. When her mother tried to call 911 she ripped the cord out of the phone and left with the gun and the car."
The car was described as a tan 2002 Honda Accord.
According to Chitwood, Mozitis does not have a gun permit and is not licensed to drive a car. Mozitis’ previous contact with police was a drug violation and terroristic threats.
“She did not have permission to take the car,” Chitwood said.
The arrest warrant was issued for assault, recklessly endangering another person, terroristic threats and unauthorized use of an automobile.
“We have no idea where she is,” Chitwood said. “That’s why we issued the alert and warrant. We consider her armed and dangerous.”
Mozitis is 5 feet 4 inches tall, 135 pounds, with hazel eyes and brown hair.
