Police seek suspect after report of person shot in Norristown

Surveillance footage shows suspect near scene shortly after incident occurred, authorities say

This screenshot of surveillance footage shows a suspect wanted in connection to a possible shooting in Norristown.

Authorities are searching for a person in connection to an apparent shooting in Norristown last month.

Police say they responded to the report of a person being shot near the corner of Oak Street and Haws Avenue around 9 p.m. on March 27.

Witnesses told officers they heard what they believed to be was a single gunshot.

Around the time of the incident, the suspect can be seen in grainy surveillance footage running west on Oak Street and then south on Bodey Alley. The Norristown Police Department posted the surveillance video on Facebook Saturday.

Authorities did not say whether a shooting actually took place or if anyone had been hurt.

The suspect is described as last seen wearing a dark hoodie, dark pants and white high top sneakers.
