Philadelphia police are seeking a suspect after a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted and beaten Friday morning in a Center City garage beneath LOVE Park.
According to authorities, officers responded to a parking garage at 1501 JFK Boulevard after receieving a report of a "Hospital Case" shortly before noon.
At the scene, officers discovered the 27-year-old woman bleeding from her head. She was transported to Jefferson Hospital and listed stable condition before leaving the emergency room against the advice of medical staff.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the woman was "engaged in an act:" with an unknown black male in the parking garage when she was struck on the head with an unknown object.
The suspect was described only as a black male with a beard and dark clothing.
An investigation remains active and ongoing with the Special Victims Unit.
