Road trip!

So far this offseason, the Eagles have reportedly either had or are scheduled to have private workouts with four quarterbacks -- North Dakota State's Carson Wentz, Cal's Jared Goff, Mississippi State's Dak Prescott, and Stanford's Kevin Hogan. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, add Memphis' Paxton Lynch to the list.

As we noted from the NFL owner meetings in Boca Raton, Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie said pretty clearly that the Eagles would be selecting a quarterback in the 2016 NFL Draft. It's really only a matter of who, and in what round. They are more than doing their due diligence.

If the Eagles were to select Wentz, Goff, or Lynch, they would almost certainly have to select them in the first round.

Back in November, we published an in-depth look at Lynch's game.

Lynch is a physical specimen who checks off all kinds of boxes in terms of what NFL teams are looking for physically in a quarterback. He has great size, a strong arm, touch, and good mobility for his size. The big knock on Lynch is his ability to hang in the pocket and deliver throws to his second or third progressions, or when he faces pressure.

If the Eagles were to draft Lynch, don't expect him to play anytime soon, however, he may have more long-term upside than any quarterback in this class.
