Reports: Philadelphia police shoot suspect in alleged stabbing of children

Philadelphia police allegedly shot a man suspected of stabbing two children Wednesday night in West Philadelphia.

According to multiple reports, two children were stabbed at approximately 7 p.m. in a home on the 6200 block of Hazel Avenue, according to 6ABC.

The victims were taken to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where their conditions were not immediately revealed.

During an ensuing search, police found and shot a suspect near Cobbs Creek Parkway and Webster Street. He was reportedly struck multiple times before officers rushed him to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center. His condition was not released.

Police said more details on the incident are forthcoming.
