Rescue Me: Cassie

Our very adoptable pet of the week

Pets Rescue Me
Cassie ACCT Philly/for PhillyVoice

Cassie needs a furever home.

ACCT Philly is hosting a “Feline Foster Challenge” starting this Saturday — see the flier below — so they figured this was a good week to tell us about cute little Cassie.

  • Specifics
  • domestic short hair
  • 10 months old
  • female, spayed
  • small, 7 pounds
  • uses litterbox

Cassie is a charming 10-month-old kitty with a solid white coat and stunning green eyes. When her family could no longer care for her, she was surrendered to the shelter with some hair loss and scabs due to fleas. Not to worry: ACCT’s medical staff gave her treatment and now she is flea-free and her coat is growing in beautifully. Cassie is still a playful kitten with a silly, curious nature that’s sure to make you smile.

ACCT Philly strives to make adopting a pet an enjoyable, stress-free process. They ask that you bring a photo ID, proof of address and, if adopting a dog, any children or resident dogs that will be living with your new family member. After filling out a short adoption application, their adoption counselors will help match you with the perfect pet.

All animals are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on age appropriate vaccines and have been examined by a veterinarian. Adoption fees and specials vary month to month and can be found on the ACCT website along with adoption locations and hours.

Aw, Cassie.

Feline Foster Challenge seems like a good time to get a cat.
