Revelers at the 2014 Spruce Foundation Gala.

Spruce Foundation, a volunteer-based nonprofit that creates community through targeted philanthropy and grant-giving, is hosting a gala to celebrate its 2015 grantees. Spruce and its supporters will gather Friday, April 24, for the annual Spruce Gala fundraiser honoring a grantee in each of Spruce's four programs: education, arts, health and wellness and LGBTQ.

This year's honorees are Spiral Q, The Katie At The Bat Team, University Community Collaborative and The Support Center for Child Advocates. Each will receive $5,000 for programming or general operational needs. Spruce chose this year's recipients based on an application process that looks to serve Philly-based nonprofits helping at-risk youth.

The gala celebrating the recipients will include live music, a DJ, an open bar and food and a silent auction. Spruce also highlights the event as a great way to network with fellow philanthropists and local change agents. The annual gala is Spruce's main source of funding for these yearly grants.
