Star-studded line-up planned for Sixers Halftime Concert Series

Four chart-topping hip-hop acts whose musics spans three decades will be center stage during the 76ers Halftime Concert Series this winter.

The Sixers announced their concert lineup Tuesday morning, boasting rap legends SugarHill Gang, Biz Markie, Bell Biv DeVoe and Nina Sky. Each act will perform for fans over the course of four Friday night home games for the Sixers Halftime Concert Series, presented by Coors Light.

On Dec. 2, three-time American Music Award-winners and four-time platinum recording artists Bell Div DeVoe will perform their Billboard hit, "Poison," during halftime of the Orlando Magic game at the Wells Fargo Center.

Sugarhill Gang will perform their top hits “Rapper’s Delight” and “Apache” during halftime of the Sixers' home game on Jan. 20, 2017, when they challenge the Portland Trailblazers.

Nina Sky will perform their hit “Move Ya Body" – which reached No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2004 – during the Sixers' Hispanic Heritage Night on March 3, 2017, when they face-off against the New York Knicks.

And Biz Markie will have hips swinging with “Just A Friend” during halftime of the Dallas Mavericks game on March 17, 2017.

During the 2015-16 season, Coors Light presented the Sixers Halftime Concert Series, featuring performances by Montell Jordan, Naughty by Nature, Tag Team and Cupid.
