The 33rd Annual QuickChek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning is flying into Readington Friday, July 24, through Sunday, July 26. With a range of live entertainment and themed hot air balloons, it is surely worth the trek for a family-friendly weekend.

Twice daily up to 100 specially shaped and sport balloons will take flight at once for an awe-inspiring display of color. This year's special balloons include a giant Yoda and Darth Vader, a baby dinosaur and a giant American flag. Plus Kansas, The Eagles guitarist Don Felder and Disney teen star Sabrina Carpenter will all perform during the festival.

Each day of the festival will include a varying schedule of activities, like a 5K run or Zumba and Jazzercise classes. Friday's activities will end in a fireworks display, and Saturday will finish off with a "balloon glow" display. Amusement rides and children's activities complete the festival lineup.

VIP and premium tickets are available for the live music concerts. Balloon rides will also be held in the morning and evenings for $225 and $250, respectively.
