Thursday night's storms brought heavy rain and strong winds, resulting in flooding and damage in the region.

SEPTA said trolleys on routes 13 and 34 were experiencing delays in both directions due to high flood waters.

NBC10 reports that strong winds ripped the roof off the Blue Mountain Adventist Elementary School in Hamburg just before 7 p.m. Thursday.

Principal Rachel Wardecke, 52, was the only person in the school at the time, according to officials. She was not injured.

The New Castle County Office of Emergency Management said people in the areas of the New Castle Mobile Home Park and the Delaware River Industrial Park on Dock View Drive reported seeing a funnel cloud around 7:45 p.m.

Another funnel cloud was reportedly spotted in Tilden Township, Berks County. The National Weather Service will determine if a tornado touched down.

The storm also knocked down trees and wires, leaving many without power.
