Suspects rob food delivery driver, strike him in head with gun, police say

Police are looking to identify and locate the suspects wanted for a robbery in Olde Kensington.

Police are seeking the public's help in finding two suspects wanted for a robbery in Olde Kensington.

The suspects were captured on surveillance video released by police Thursday.

A 31-year-old male delivery employee for Peking Garden Restaurant at 1322 North Hancock Street was robbed by the suspects on Sept. 18 at 12:39 a.m., police said.

The driver was in the area of the 1300 block of North Hancock Street to deliver a food order when he was waved over by a Hispanic male. The man stated he didn’t have any cash and called over a second Hispanic to pay for the food. 

The second male pulled out a handgun and demanded money. After taking an undetermined amount of money, he then struck the driver on his head with the handgun before taking his wallet. Both suspects fled on foot and were last seen heading toward the 1200 block of North Hancock Street. 

The suspects were later captured on surveillance video operating a dark-colored sedan and using the employee’s credit card at a Sunoco gas station at Knights and Woodhaven Road at 2:17 a.m. They were also seen on camera at a Walmart located inside the Franklin Mills Mall.

Police describe the suspects as follows:

Suspect #1: Hispanic male, 25 years old, 5’8”, wearing a black shirt and armed with a handgun.
Suspect #2: 
Hispanic male, 25 years old, medium build, 5’8”, goatee, wearing a blue jacket.
