Get a good night's sleep - with the help of technology

Need to catch some shut-eye? Try these three products.

When it comes to America’s sleep problem, a love affair with technology often gets the blame.

From the detrimental blue light emitted from our iPhones and e-books to “emergency” texts and Snapchats that vibrate our pillows, study after study has pointed to our obsession with gadgets as causing us loss of z’s.

But there are also ways to use technology to our favor, from sleep-inducing apps that monitor our sleep patterns to sleep masks that wake us with an artificial dawn.

Neuro:On Intelligent Sleep Mask and App

A sleep mask and mobile app system, the Neuro:On delivers a one-two punch for tackling sleep deprivation.

The mask utilizes bio-electrical signals to track the user’s sleep cycle - measuring sleep waves, eye movement, muscle tension, heart rate and blood saturation - in order to provide a personalized sleep score and regimen that is sent to your phone.

The devise also signals the body when it's time to wake up with light therapy, creating an artificial dawn.

Neuro:On Intelligent Sleep Mask and App
Neuro:On will be available soon in the App Store & Google Play.

The Lark

The Lark is basically a personal assistant to help you become your best self by offering advice and guidance on exercise, dieting and productivity. Part of that is monitoring sleep.

Lark assumes you’re sleeping between the last time you check your phone at night and the first time you check your phone in the morning, and it uses that info to create your specialized sleep plan.

Another cool feature is the ability to wake you up without bothering the person next to you in bed. Lark can be configured to wake you and your partner up at different times with a wristband alarm clock that vibrates instead of making noise.

Napwell

Napwell is just that: a device intended to help you nap well. It was developed by a bunch of really smart people.

A neat part about this device is that it can be used anywhere and can be programmed to nap for a select amount of time. Like the Neuro:On, the Napwell uses light therapy to gently wake you up.
