Two 15-year-old girls have been charged as adults after they allegedly repeatedly stabbed a 23-year-old woman who reportedly had told them to “keep it down.”
Philadelphia Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood told the Delco Times the suspects, Trista Williams of Ridley Park and Giavanna Ranallo of Chichester, allegedly stabbed the victim in her face, stomach, back and arms.
According to Chitwood, the altercation occurred at around 9:30 p.m. Sunday on the 7000 block of Sellers Avenue in Upper Darby in front of the victims home.
“Ranallo said she took a folding-type knife out of her pocket to stab the woman,” Chitwood told the Delco Times. “This couple was right outside their house when these two girls came along looking for trouble. The victim was stabbed all over her body. Fortunately she will be okay.”
Ranallo and William have been charged with possession of instruments of crime, simple assault, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and harassment.
They have been jailed in lieu of posting bail pending a preliminary hearing in district court.
