Teen killed in Pennsauken hit-and-run incident late Monday

Police say they have located and charged the alleged driver

A 16-year-old boy was killed late Monday in a hit-and-run incident in Pennsauken, NBC10 reports.

Police told NBC10 the driver jumped the barricade along Route 130 and the force of the hit sent the boy sailing into a nearby Burger King parking lot.

Police said they used a GPS tracking device to locate the alleged driver in Camden.

The car is registered to a 19-year-old Pennsylvania woman, but she was not driving it, police said. According to authorities, her 40-year-old aunt was allegedly behind the wheel. 

Susan Hyland was charged with leaving the scene of a crime and driving on a suspended license. The 19-year-old was not charged.

The incident happened at around 11:25 p.m. Monday, NBC10 reports.
