Trader Joe's Triple Ginger Brew

Trader Joe's issued Tuesday a voluntary recall of all bottles of its Triple Ginger Brew due to a potential safety hazard.

The recall affects all bottles purchased nationwide from Nov. 9 through Dec. 14.

The California-based company said the recall came after Trader Joe's received inquiries from customers who experienced unopened bottles shattering or bursting.

While Trader Joe's said the ginger brew does not pose a health risk if consumed, all products were removed from store shelves and destroyed. No injuries or illnesses have been reported to date, the company said.

The store's Triple Ginger Brew is sold in 25.4 FL OZ glass bottles.

Trader Joe's recommended that customers who have purchased the ginger brew handle it with care and dispose of it immediately in an outside container.

The store also said it will provide a refund to customers who purchased the Triple Ginger Brew at any of its store locations.
