Clear your calendars – two Philadelphia museums have made a national roundup of must-sees.

The Museum of the American Revolution and "Cultures in the Crossfire: Stories from Syria and Iraq" at the Penn Museum both scored spots on USA Today's list of "the best museum exhibitions in the U.S. this spring."

Wednesday, which marks the anniversary of when the first shots of the Revolutionary War were fired in 1775, will also commemorate the grand opening of the Museum of the American Revolution at Third and Chestnut streets.

"Cultures in the Crossfire: Stories from Syria and Iraq," which will continue at the Penn Museum until late November, explores "what is at stake when cultural heritage is destroyed in war-torn regions," according to its website.

The list, published Tuesday, also includes exhibits in the Museum of Chocolate in New York City and an exhibit at Cleveland's Rock & Roll Hall of Fame that's going on until November.
