Two dogs found slain in Downingtown

Two dogs were found dead March 31 on an embankment near their owner's home in Downingtown, Chester County.

On Wednesday, new information has been released about the circumstances surrounding the animals' deaths. According to 6 ABC's Gary Hall, the pets were shot.


The Brandywine Valley SPCA reports that the organization was notified that a dog named Buddha went missing. After a search for Buddha was conducted, the family's other pet Oliver was discovered missing upon the family's return.

Hours later, the bodies of the slain pets were found on Sawmill Road by a crew worker without their identification and collars.

BVSPCA CEO Adam Lamb is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest for the killing and disposing of the two dogs.
