Below freezing temperatures and rough winds are forecast for Saturday and Sunday.

Two Philadelphia-area schools dismissed students early Tuesday due to heating issues.

Alain Locke Elementary School, located on the 4500 block of Haverford Ave., is currently not heated and closed at noon, CBSPhilly said.

Truman High School, located in Bristol Township, Bucks County, has also closed early due to heaters malfunctioning, the school district reported via Facebook.

The district office told CBSPhilly that repairs are in progress, and it intends to open the school on Wednesday.

There has been no official word on whether Alain Locke Elementary School will reopen Wednesday.
