Two teenage girls critically injured in Burlington County ATV crash

Fourteen-year-old victims airlifted to Cooper University Hospital

Two New Jersey teenagers are fighting for their lives after they were critically injured in an ATV crash that occurred Saturday afternoon in Tabernacle Township. 

According to authorities, the crash involved two 14-year-old girls who were ride an ATV along Lakeview Drive, 6 ABC reports. 

At around noon, investigators say the driver of the vehicle lost control while navigating a bend and crossed over a highway before slamming into a tree. 

Both of the victims, who have not been identified, were ejected from the vehicle and sustained serious injuries. They were airlifted to Cooper University Hospital, where they were listed in critical condition. 

Officials with the New Jersey State Police said both victims were wearing helmets at the time of the crash. 

Police will continue to investigate the accident.
