Unite Philly Run is like a free 'fitness scavenger hunt'

Join in the group workout Sept. 13

The Unite Philly Run, taking place Sept. 13 at 6 p.m., is a free group run with surprise workout stations thrown in. The organization describes the event as "a fitness scavenger hunt."

Participants meet at fitness studio Unite Philly East then make their way through a two-mile course. There will be four surprise workout stations scattered through the course and they must be completed to move on.

The run ends at 20th and Chestnut streets, where 1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes will be handed out. All runners will receive complimentary food and beverages at Unite's Rittenhouse location.

While the fitness event is free, registration is required.
