The corner of 50th and Baltimore is booming with three popular businesses: Satellite Cafe, Firehouse Bikes and Dock Street Brewing Company.

On Wednesday, Jan. 20 Dock Street Brewery is hosting two events. The happy overlap means special vegan dishes will be available and rare beers.

During the evening vegan pizza, vegan pesto wraps, vegan burgers and even vegan food not normally found on the menu will be available for attendees.

All attending should bring school supplies like copy paper, dry erase markers and Post-It chart paper to be donated to Samuel Powel Elementary School. Handing over a donation also means that guests will receive a rare beer.

The program is part of a new monthly series where Dock Street Brewery will donate school supplies directly to West Philadelphia Public Schools, while offering donators unique drinks.

The beer for the January event is the Man Full Of Mushrooms Porter. It is an Imperial Porter infused with European black winter truffle mushrooms.
