Atlantic City New Year's Eve

If Philadelphia or the surrounding suburbs don't have what you're looking for on New Year's Eve, then hopefully Atlantic City does. There is no shortage of casinos and nightclubs throwing events for the occasion with open bar deals, music and dinners. A few are having unique celebrations.

Tropicana goes retro to ring in 2016 with a concert performance from the Pointer Sisters at 9:30 p.m. Tickets range from $79-$89. Then in the casino's Boogie Nights dance club, there will be an open bar from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m., appetizers, entertainment, party favors and a balloon drop at midnight. Tickets are $60 per person or $100 per couple.

At the Playground Pier at Caesars, the venue is going to attempt to break the Guinness World Record for champagne cork popping. This is part of their "Uncorked NYE" party that also includes an open bar, karaoke, '20s-style speakeasy and live broadcast of Times Square. Tickets start at $60 per person.

The 2016 fireworks show will be a free 10-minute pyrotechnic display over the boardwalk at midnight.
