WATCH: Dashcam video shows officer-involved shooting in Haddon Township

A newly released dashcam video shows what happened during an officer-involved shooting that wounded one man in Haddon Township last month.

Edmond Brown Jr., 38 of Camden, was allegedly shot in the leg after an altercation with the officer, who's not yet being named by authorities.

The officer pulled Brown over for having a visible handicap placard. In the video, obtained through a public records request by the Inquirer, the officer is heard asking Brown if he's ever been arrested before or if he's had any tickets and then asks him to shut the car off.

The video then shows Brown speeding away while the officer hung out of the driver's side window. Brown crashed into a parked car when the officer demanded him to get out of his vehicle. Brown then took off running.

The officer chased after Brown when his gun went off, allegedly shooting Brown once in the leg. He was later taken to Cooper Medical Center and was then arrested. Bail was set at $100,000.

The officer has been placed on administrative leave while officials continue to investigate.

The prosecutor's office announced Wednesday that additional charges have been filed against Brown.

A search of the car showed that he had a loaded Smith and Wesson .357 magnum revolver with additional ammunition. He was charged with second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon as well as second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon by certain persons in addition to aggravated assault, hindering apprehension and other related charges.
