In the years since "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" went over the top with its season four finale, "The Nightman Cometh," fans all over the place have been recording tributes to the musical's biggest hit, "The Dayman."

We've seen a "Star Wars" mashup, a hit piece on Corey Feldman's disastrous "Today" show appearance and a man in green spandex covering the song on classical guitar.

Little did we know, the most powerful treatment of "The Dayman" has been hidden in plain sight on YouTube for the past few years.

A metal band called Three Dorks decided to flesh the song out with distorted whole notes and a double bass drum, even producing a music video in the process. They really make it sound like a song that might have gotten some airplay in the heydays of Powerman 5000, Orgy and Godsmack.
