WATCH: Suspect sought in gunpoint robbery of Mill Creek grocery store

Philadelphia police are seeking help finding this man, who police say robbed a grocery store in the city's Mill Creek neighborhood on Dec. 17.

Philadelphia police are hoping to identify a masked man they say robbed the Madera Grocery in Mill Creek at gunpoint on Dec. 17.

According to police, on that day at about 1:50 p.m., a masked man stormed into the store and aimed a handgun at an 18-year-old female employee at the grocery, which is located at 897 N. 50th St.

At that time, police say he attempted to pry his way into the cashier booth but was unsuccessful.

When he couldn't gain entry, the man then held his gun to the head of another individual in the store while reaching over the counter and taking approximately $200 from the cash register, police say.

The man fled on foot in an unknown direction.

Police say the wanted man, who is described as a black male about 25 years old and 6 feet tall with a thin build, was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, dark-colored Adidas pants, brown boots, black gloves and a black ski mask.
