WATCH: Philly police seek suspect for allegedly punching woman in face in Fairmount

Detectives say the incident took place as the victim, 51, walked along the 2700 block of Pennsylvania Ave.

Philly police are seeking this suspect in connection with the assault of a woman in Fairmont on Nov. 4, officials said. The alleged assailant is described as a black male who is 6 feet tall with a thin build and was wearing a blue T-shirt and black pants, police said.

Philadelphia police detectives are seeking the public's help identifying a suspect wanted for allegedly punching a 51-year-old woman in the face as she walked in Fairmont.

According to a release from the department's Central Detective Division, the alleged incident took place as the woman was headed east on the 2700 block of Pennsylvania Ave. at 4:05 p.m. on Nov. 4.


The woman told police she was struck by an unknown black male and sustained a laceration above her eye, officials said. After the incident, the suspect fled west on Pennsylvania Avenue.

The alleged assailant is described as 6 feet tall with a thin build and was wearing a blue T-shirt and black pants, police said.
