Video: Two killed, two injured in crash on Columbus Blvd. in South Philadelphia

The cause of the crash is under investigation

Two people are dead and two others are injured following a crash on Columbus Boulevard near Oregon Avenue in South Philadelphia at around 2:45 a.m. Friday, 6ABC reports. 

6ABC obtained video of the single-car crash taken from a witness's vehicle dash camera, shown below.

 

The cause of the crash is under investigation. 

In the video, sparks can be seen coming from the vehicle – described only as a Mazda – as it careens from the roadway into what has been reported to be a PECO building.

The driver, a 23-year-old woman, and a 25-year-old female front-seat passenger were taken to the hospital with injuries. There was no immediate word on their conditions.

Police told 6ABC the two backseat passengers were pronounced dead at the scene. One of the deceased is a 25-year-old man; the other is a female with no age available.

The names of the victims are also not available at this time.
