Akyra Murray has been identified as one of the victims killed during the shooting at an Orlando nightclub early Sunday, June 12, 2016. Murray is seen here wearing her cap and gown from her graduation from West Catholic Preparatory High School on June, 3, 2016.

West Catholic Preparatory High School will hold a private vigil service to honor Akyra Murray, who graduated from the school earlier this month.

The service will be held Wednesday beginning at 6 p.m. in the school auditorium located at 4501 Chestnut Street in West Philadelphia.

Only students, parents, teachers and West Catholic alumni are permitted to attend.

Murray, 18, was the youngest victim of Sunday's mass shooting at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida.

At West Catholic, Murray was an honors student, graduating third in her class, and a basketball star, scoring 1,000 points during her career. She was set to attend Mercyhurst College in Erie this fall and had signed a letter of intent to play basketball for the school.

Murray attended the club with her friend Patience Carter, 20, who was injured in the shooting.

Carter held an emotional press conference on Tuesday to recount her experience.

An investigation into the shooting that killed 49 people is ongoing.
