Wintry mix possible in Philadelphia area for Monday morning commute

Commuters across the Delaware Valley could be in for a wintry start to their week as precipatation enters the region and temperatures drop below freezing overnight into Monday.

According to the NBC10 Weather Team, Philadelphia's suburbs are most likely to see the rain turn to sleet and snow, particularly in Montgomery, Bucks and Chester Counties.

Light accumulation between 0.5-1'' is possible in areas where the moisture becomes snow.

In Philadelphia, South Jersey and Delaware, commuters can expect light to moderate through about 9 a.m., though drivers are advised to be alert to slick road conditions.
