Zayn Malik officially left One Direction, according to statement on the band's Facebook.
Zayn Malik has left boy band One Direction in order to live as 'a normal 22-year-old,' according to a statement on the One Direction Facebook page Wednesday.
The four remaining members, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Harry Styles, plan to continue on the world tour and record a new album.
The news comes after Malik dropped out of the pop band's On the Road Again tour in Asia last week due to "stress."
Of course, fans quickly reacted to the news on social media.
