It's possible to live away from the city without giving up access to the opportunities city life affords.

Living in the city has both its perks and disadvantages. Being in the middle of everything, being close to public transportation and having endless options for restaurants and events to attend are only a few perks the city has to offer. But for some people, city life is just too loud and bustling, because there is always the guarantee that the big city will be constantly packed with people all times of the day.

A suburban life may sound too quiet and demanding. Mowing the lawn, having a house that is way too big for your family and tending to your home day in and day out can get tiring, and people sometimes shy away from the idea of living outside the city.

There is, however, a solution for those who prefer to live away from the city but still have access to the opportunities city life affords. For some, the perfect solution is the best of both worlds! Garden State Park is conveniently located in Cherry Hill, right outside Philadelphia, and offers all the perks of city life, as well as a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle.

Smaller space is actually more

Have you ever heard the saying “less is more”? This is especially true for your home. More space in a home means more hassle, especially with cleaning, tending the property and also the high bills! Overall, downsizing your home can be cost-beneficial and may even make your life easier in the long run!

Experience the city whenever you want

It’s perfectly fine that not everyone was built to live in the city! Even younger people prefer the quieter suburb life compared to the big city. But that doesn’t mean they don’t want those city perks. Living near the city means you can experience it whenever you want. You can either drive or take public transportation from Garden State Park right into Philadelphia. And with so many major roadways nearby, Atlantic City and New York City are also easily accessible.

Close to everything you need

Garden State Park is conveniently located near everything you would ever need. Whether you want to go out to dinner with friends at Brio Tuscan Tavern or Cheesecake Factory, or just grab a sandwich at Panera Bread before doing some shopping at Nordstrom Rack or Wegmans, endless options await you. It’s also close to a number of outstanding hospitals and health services, so you’ll always have peace of mind.

Want to take the train into Philadelphia for the day? Garden State Park is located right near the PATCO train, which takes you directly to Center City! Fare is easy to obtain, whether you get a paper ticket from one of the machines for a round trip, or purchase a refillable PATCO card. PATCO trains run 24/7, so you’ll be able to visit the city any time you want!

Avoid the crowds

Let’s face it — cities are constantly crowded with people. For some, constant crowds are tedious and stressful, especially in Philadelphia, since it is the fifth-most populated city in the United States. But luckily, Garden State Park is located outside the city, where there are, of course, smaller crowds. But don’t think there isn't anything going on at Garden State Park — it’s located right by all the biggest stores, including Wegmans and Nordstrom Rack!

Experience more than the concrete

In cities, you’ll experience more concrete and cement than green grass and full trees. Some people love the constant concrete, but others need a little more nature in their lives. Sure, some cities have small parks within them, but that's not enough to give you a full dose of nature. Garden State Park allows you to have the best of both worlds. It’s also located near other parks in Cherry Hill, like Pennypacker Park, which is only a short drive away.

Living in the city can be a dream for some people, but others may prefer a quieter life. Why pick, when you can have both? Living near the city means you get to experience all that the city has to offer without the stress of everyday city living.
