Academic Excellence

In Burlington County, academic excellence is extolled and celebrated to inspire success within the community. For instance, the Burlington County Principles and Supervisors Association (BCPSA) holds an annual Burlington County Academic Achievement Dinner to honor and recognize the top 10th, 11th and 12th-grade students from each Burlington County High School. This kind of recognition speaks to the pride and sense of accomplishment that ripples throughout the county and encourages the community to achieve and pursue excellence. That same pursuit of excellence extends to private schools in the area. In 2015, Our Lady of Good Counsel School of Moorestown was named a National Blue Ribbon school, placing it among the best schools in the country.

Creative Pursuits

Along with excellent, inspiring education, Burlington County is a place where creative talent is fostered. For example, the Shawnee High School jazz band recently won the grand prize at the All South Jersey Jazz Festival. Creative outlets and pursuits like this one set the stage for students to nurture their talents and learn to express themselves creatively.

Athletics

Burlington schools also boast tremendous athletic talent. This past season four girls soccer teams in the area were named to the NJ.com Top 20 teams. Their success reflects the level of athletic competition across the county as a whole. And no one can forget one of the most exciting football games in the state this year, where Palmyra took the Central Jersey Group 1 title after being down 34-14 at halftime. Kameron Kennedy clinched the win over Keyport when he returned a fumble for the game-winning touchdown in a 35-34 victory.
