Philly police respond to double-fatal shooting near Frankford Transportation Center

Two men were killed in a shooting that occurred in a home near the Frankford Transportation Center in East Frankford on Wednesday afternoon. 

According to officer Christine O'Brien, a spokesperson for the Philadelphia Police Department, the shooting occurred on the 1600 block of Pratt Street at about 2:16 p.m. 

Police have reported that officers responding to reports of a shooting found two men who had been shot several times. According to law enforcement officials, a 30-year-old male, who has not yet been identified, was found after he had been shot multiple times. He was pronounced dead at 2:42 p.m. after being transported to Temple Hospital. 

Law enforcement officials said another unidentified male, also 30 years old, was found at the home with bullet wounds to his chest and back.  

He was also transported to Temple Hospital where he was pronounced dead at about 3:02. p.m.

No arrests have yet been made, but "numerous" weapons have been recovered at the home, police said.

O'Brien said that police are still investigating the scene.
