Katelynne Lynn-Fisher, 35, of Lindenwold, allegedly made a false 911 report about a shooting in an attempt to get out of a traffic stop in Gloucester Township.

A passenger in a vehicle pulled over by Gloucester Township police tried to get out of a ticket by allegedly fabricating a report about gunfire at nearby apartment complex, authorities said. 

Katelynne Hunter-Fisher, 35, allegedly called 911 claiming there had been shots fired at Millbridge Gardens in Lindenwold after the vehicle had been stopped at 1 p.m. Monday, police saidOfficers investigated and said they determined the report to be false. 

Police linked the 911 call's number to Hunter-Fisher. Authorities allege she made the call to distract police from the traffic stop.

Hunter-Fisher is the owner the car that was stopped. It had been pulled over for displaying expired temporary-registration tags, Lt. Melissa Capanna said Wednesday.

The driver at the time of the traffic stop was issued three citations. The driver also was arrested for three unrelated warrants.

Hunter-Fisher is charged with filing a false police report and obstruction of justice, the Gloucester Township police said.
