Fox & Son Fancy Corn Dogs.

There's no place quite like Reading Terminal Market. You can walk in there and purchase all the ingredients and accoutrements you need for an ultra-healthy meal, or you can cram chocolate-covered pretzels, ice cream and cheesesteaks down your gullet until you waddle out into the sunlight with a new outlook on life.

Things just got much better over there for those who skew toward the second group. Last weekend, after months of anticipation, Fox & Son Fancy Corn Dogs opened up shop with a menu full of refined carnival favorites and other fried treats.

Owners Rebecca Foxman, Ezekial Ferguson and Kevin Kwan bring a full suite of locally sourced deli meats and condiments to the table, turning out corn dogs that go down more like a delicacy than a nostalgic last resort. The menu also features poutine, squeaky cheese curds, dressed naked potatoes, seasonal goodies and vegan and gluten-free options.

Take a look at what's going on at the intersection of aisle C and aisle 4. It's explosive. Yeah, no, this couldn't be done without a corny joke.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 10:30 a.m.-6 p.m.; Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; and Sunday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. They also deliver and offer catering services.

Head on over and feel like this.
