The Philadelphia Flyers have signed free-agent forward Roman Lyubimov to an entry-level contract, the team announced on Monday.
At just 24 years of age, Lyubimov already has six years of experience in the KHL. The 6-foot-2, 207-pound Russian comes to the Flyers from CSKA Moscow where he posted 14 points (7G, 7A) in 52 games last season. He also added eight points (4G, 4A) in the postseason while helping his team to the Gagarin Cup Finals, where the ultimately lost to Meallurg in seven games.

In all, Lyubimov has recorded 34 points (15G, 19A) in 185 regular season KHL games and another 14 points (8G, 6A) in 39 postseason games. He's also posted 110 points in 138 games for CSKA's junior team.
Internationally, Lyubimov represented Russia at the 2016 World Championships, where he won a bronze medal playing alongside guys like Alexander Ovechkin and Pavel Datsyuk. In 10 games with the Russian team, Lyubimov scored four goals and added four assists.
