A dog that has spent almost a year at an aminal shelter is in dire need of a permanent home.
The Montgomery County Animal Services & Adoption Center in Derwood, Maryland posted Thursday on Facebook to share the story about a five-year-old male, brindle and black Bullmastiff mix named Juice.
The dog has been at the shelter for 10 months and initially adjusted well to his new confines. However after an adoption fell through, staff members noticed the dog "crying, panting, and pacing more often" in his kennel.
A staff member took Juice home for a "sleepover" to give him a break from the shelter, but Juice started crying again when he returned. The shelter posted a video displaying the dog's behavior:

Juice had no accidents in the house, and did not jump up on the counters."
Staff members say Juice gets along with small dogs, but would do best as the only pet in the household.
The shelter is looking for "an experienced and patient owner" and allows out-of-state residents to adopt. The only requirement is to visit the shelter to meet the animal before adopting.
