Single and looking to mingle, but not a fan of the city hubbub? Move to Marlton, the South Jersey suburb recently ranked as the top spot for unmarried men and women.

The rating comes from the real estate brokerage Movoto, which analyzed data such from AreaVibes, WalkScore.com, the U.S. Census, and business listings in order to come up with a list of the top ten Philadelphia area suburbs.

The criteria included the percent of unmarried population, the percentage of males and females, walkability, the cost of living and social activities, such as restaurants and art venues.

Once we eliminated any places that didn’t have complete data, we were left with a total of 28 suburbs to look at. We ranked all of them with scores from one to 28 in the above categories.
Then we weighted these scores so that unmarried population was worth 40 percent of the overall score, the difference between male and female populations was worth 30, and the remaining categories were worth 10.
Finally, we averaged all of these weighted scores into one overall Big Deal Score, where the 10 lowest scores went to our 10 best ‘burbs for singles.

Here they are:

1. Marlton, NJ
2. Audubon, NJ (tie)
2. Ardmore, PA (tie)
4. Drexel Hill, PA
5. Willow Grove, PA
6. Bryn Mawr, PA
7. Feasterville, PA
