Officials: South Jersey man charged with killing parents

Police have arrested a South Jersey man who they say killed his parents in their home.

The Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office announced Friday that 28-year-old Ryan Coles was charged in connection with his parents' murders.

Authorities said Edward Coles Jr., 58, and Rosemarie Coles, 55, were found dead by a relative Friday around 11:25 a.m. in their residence on Pennfield Drive in West Deptford, New Jersey.

The son was in the house when officers arrived and was taken to Inspira Medical Center in Woodbury for an evaluation.

He was later arrested and his bail was set at $1 million.

Autopsies are scheduled for Saturday to determine the causes of death.

The victims were the former owners of a Mantua Township music store, according to county officials.
