The Pennsylvania Ballet will perform "Romance," beginning April 6.

The Pennsylvania Ballet is getting ready to close out its 2016-2017 season. One of the final ballets will be "Romance," which will be performed at the Merriam Theater beginning April 6.

"'Romance' will demonstrate different perspectives on ballet from three great choreographers," artistic director Angel Corella stated.

The program includes:

"Remansos" – A modern ballet featuring three men and three women, the piece has "a contemporary feel while keeping the focus on the buoyancy of the dancer’s forms," according to the Pennsylvania Ballet.

"Ghost Stories" – This Nicolo Fonte world premiere focuses on simplicity.

"Western Symphony" – Classical ballet and folk dance are fused in performance.

"Romance" is about two hours long, with two intermissions. Tickets start at $35. In total, there will be five performances through April 9.
