Philadelphia heads into a long Presidents’ Day weekend with a lineup that mixes romance, history and big-ticket entertainment.
Midweek, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast begins its run at the Academy of Music on Wednesday, bringing the Broadway favorite to Center City.
Friday introduces the new “America’s Founding” gallery at the National Constitution Center, while Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus opens at the Xfinity Mobile Arena for a run through February 16.
On Saturday, the The Franklin Institute debuts its Universal Theme Parks exhibition. It’s also the final weekend to catch “Dreamworld: Surrealism at 100” at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and Visit Philadelphia’s free Black History Month tours begin that day.
Sunday marks 215 Day, when Visit Philadelphia releases a new American 250th anniversary beer.
Throughout the week, Valentine’s and Galentine's events pop up across the region. The Lunar New Year Parade in Chinatown closes out the holiday weekend on Monday.
