Police: Girl fights off attacker at West Philly bus stop

Police said that a 14-year-old girl claims she fought off a man who attempted to attack her Monday night at a bus in West Philly. 

According to police, the girl said she was waiting for a bus on 60th Street near Arch Street, at about 5:45 p.m., when she was approached by an unknown male who asked her if it was okay to speak with her. 

When she responded “no", law enforcement officials said the male then attempted to grab her. 

The girl was able to struggle free of the man's grasp, and police said, the suspect fled on foot. 

According to law enforcement officials, police are seeking a black male in his 30s, with a medium complexion, standing about five-feet, five-inches and weighing about 230 to 250 pounds. Police said he has a close cut beard and thick mustache and, he fled the scene of the incident in a dark blue four-door sedan with tinted windows.
