PSPCA offers reward in death of dog found with mouth taped shut, stab wounds

$5,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest

The Pennsylvania SPCA is looking to find the person or persons responsible for a deceased dog found discarded in a trash bag with its mouth taped shut and multiple stab wounds on Thursday evening.

A $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction is being offered, the PSPCA said in a statement detailing what it called an “intentional act of violence.”

According to the report, the dog’s body was discovered by a good Samaritan on the 200 block of West Godfrey Avenue in the city’s Olney neighborhood.

PSPCA officers were called to the scene, where they determined the dog was a female black pit bull with a black collar and identifying white marks on her nose, under her neck and across her chest.
