Cirque du Soleil acrobats tour the streets (and Rocky Steps) of Philadelphia

Acrobats from Cirque do Soleil’s AMALUNA visited Philadelphia, Friday, to perform at some of the city’s well-known landmarks. Red Bull pros visit Philly for 'Drop In' skate fest

Over a hundred skateboarders came out to Paines Park, Friday, for Red Bull’s traveling "Drop In Tour” skate fest. The event was held on the 2019 “Go Skate Day” and attracted amateur and semi-pro athletes from around the area. On hand were also Red Bull’s top pro skaters, Torey Pudwill, Jamie Foy, Alex Midler and Joey Brezinski.

The largest sphinx in the Western Hemisphere, the 25,000-lbs granite Sphinx of the Pharaoh Ramses II was moved from its former location in the Egypt (Sphinx) Gallery at the Penn Museum, to a new, permanent location in the completely-reimagined Main Entrance Hall on Wednesday.

In cities across the country on Tuesday, thousands gathered to protest strict laws that have passed restricting women's rights to an abortion. The "Stop the Bans Day of Action" rally was organized by Planned Parenthood of Southeastern Pennsylvania and brought hundreds to the median of South Broad Street in Philadelphia to show their support for legal abortions and to allow women the right to choose what is best for their body.
