"Badges? We don't need no stinkin' badges!"

At least not on your first trip to some South Jersey beaches this summer, according to the Press of Atlantic City.

Sea Isle, Longport and Ventnor still require visitors to have a tag to get onto the beach, but this year first-time beachgoers don't have to worry about buying them ahead of time.

All three towns are offering a mobile app that allows visitors to purchase badges on the spot.

Users also have the opportunity to purchase badges at discounted, preseason rates.

Inspectors will verify purchases on apps and give out physical tags, which will be good for future visits.
