Annual GayFest! returns with theater, comedy and dance

Theater show previews are pay-what-you-can this year

GayFest! returns for the sixth year, beginning Aug. 12, for a 15-day celebration, plus an opening party.

The opening party takes place at Studio X, with raffles, free wine and cast meet-and-greets, while the rest of the LGBT theater festival takes place at either Studio X or Louis Bluver Theatre at the Drake.

This year's lineup includes four Philly premieres, with previews that you pay-what-you-can to view.

Here are the Philly premieres:

•MMF: Dean, Jane and Michael's relationship comes to an end and the trio must deal with the consequences.

•Wolves: When Jack brings home a "big, bad wolf" for a one-night stand, his roommate tries to intervene.

•My Favorite Husbands: A comedy that includes Republicans, wedding crashing and exes.

•Harbor: A comedy about family that takes place in the Hamptons.

Besides the theater shows, there will be a discussion on queer sex, a return of dance company The Bang Group and a reading of a new play focused on hook-up culture. See the full lineup here.
