April 24, 2024
Put on your fanciest Derby attire and get ready for a day of sampling South Jersey’s best wines because the Annual Down And Derby Wine Festival returns to Veterans Island at Cooper River Park for its fourth year on Saturday, May 4 — and it promises to be the biggest event yet! The festival is a proud partnership between the Camden County Board of Commissioners and Visit South Jersey, a destination marketing organization for much of the South Jersey region.
In addition to discovering your next favorite wine from one of South Jersey’s top producing wineries, the 2024 Down and Derby Wine Festival will offer attendees the opportunity to feast on delicious flavors from local food trucks, win prizes for being “best dressed,” and enjoy live entertainment. The Secret Service Band, formed in 1983, will be headlining the event. Band members Dom Albanese and Craig Phillips have been thrilling audiences for over three decades with music spanning all genres and decades.
The participating wineries include Sharrott Winery, Tomasello Winery, Valenzano Family Winery, Plagido’s, Villari Vineyards, Auburn Road, Salem Oak Vineyards, Wagonhouse Winery, and White Horse Winery.
General admission tickets for the festival cost $35. A VIP experience is also available for $95 and includes a special gift and access to a VIP tent with food offerings. Designated drivers can attend the event for $15. Get your tickets now.
