There’s no shortage of parties to visit this weekend, with Friday and Saturday bringing a lot of international and local talent to the decks. Check out a new club or a new style of music, as this week’s diverse offerings even features a (dare I say it…) non-dancing event!

Alex Burkat, Philly’s best-kept underground house secret, brings his mind-bending blend of deep house, techno, and psychedelic jams to South Philly for the first installment of Ancient Puzzle Arts at the Dolphin. Joining Burkat is New York techno sensation Marcos Cabral, a DJ/producer with releases on renowned labels such as L.I.E.S., and Rekids.

Come Together featuring John Dahlback, Rumor

Heavy-hitting Swedish tech-house producer John Dahlback is a name familiar to many in the club circuit, as the Stockholm-based DJ/producer has racked up six artist albums and an appearance on the highly prestigious BBC Essential Mix series over the course of his decade-plus career. Cool off from the pulsing house music as necessary with DJ Sat-One spinning the latest hip-hop and ratchet anthems in the Lev Room.

Cosmo Baker and Rob Paine, Coda

Few DJs out there can rock a dance floor with the style and panache of Cosmo Baker, a modern day Philadelphia DJ legend. Fresh off big gigs in Chicago and the District of Columbia, Cosmo will be eager to make the hometown crowd move and sweat to beats from a variety of genres at the Rittenhouse venue. Support from Worship Recordings head honcho Rob Paine.

MIGHTY with Rich Medina, Silk City

Dirty, AKA Francisco Collazo, has been throwing MIGHTY parties with some of the best DJ bookings in the biz for years now. This edition of MIGHTY is being deemed #RICO after Philly’s own boss-selector Rich Medina. This certainly isn’t Rich’s first rodeo at Silk City, so head to the lounge to hear one of our city’s best DJs in complete control of the night with a four-hour DJ set.

Saturday June 27

Colleen (live) with King Britt (live ambient set), Fringearts

Although this event won’t have a dance floor, it will be a spectacular way to start off your Saturday night. Taking place at the beautiful Delaware Ave. Fringearts space, Colleen, the alias of French musician Cécile Schott, will bring her serene other-worldly songs to life with her unique voice and instrument of choice, the treble viola da gamba. You’re definitely going to want to get there early also, as the cosmically talented King Britt is opening the evening with a live ambient performance to set the vibe.

Valentino Khan, Meaux Green, Gent & Jawns, SoundGarden Hall

Riding high off the smashing success of recent remixes for Zed’s Dead, Axwell & Ingrosso, and Flosstradamus, prepare to turn up with mustachioed EDM titan Valentino Khan as he brings his Dead Presidents tour into town for this 18+ event.
