Police are investigating a home robbery and assault in Kensington early Friday.

Police told CBSPhilly an unidentified man in his 40s was in his home drinking with a 25-year-old woman when two men – one in possession of a gun and the other a baseball bat - entered the home on Cambria Street near Kensington Avenue and began assaulting him.

The woman, who had been in the home with the victim, allegedly joined the assault. The three then took off with about $1,000 in cash and two video game consoles, police told CBSPhilly.

The situation happened at around 2 a.m., and as of 8 a.m. Friday, police were still actively investigating.
