New Jersey State Police have released a sketch of suspected hit-and-run driver who critically injured a man last month on the New Jersey Turnpike.

The incident occurred February 7 at milepost 121 northbound on the New Jersey Turnpike at around 5 a.m., according to State Police. The victim suffered serious injuries to his head and leg and was incapacitated for several weeks.

On Wednesday, police said the victim had regained coherence and was able to provide a description of two individuals linked to the incident.

The suspects were described as a Filipino couple driving a white 2002-2003 Nissan Maxima with tinted rear taillights and New Jersey tags. Based on the severity of the crash, it is believed the Maxima would have sustained front-end damage to the hood and the roof.

The female suspect was described as a woman in her early thirties with shoulder-length brunette hair, an average build and a neck tattoo depicting "script letters with a bird either holding or above the letters." Her name is believed to be "Sarah," "Sue," or another name beginning with an "S." The male suspect was described only as a man in his mid-thirties.
